Hip-Hop
It seems now that hip hop is no longer a pure art form but a packaged product. The new "SOUTH BRAND" of hip hop which incorporates dance and snapping has polluted the art form that we once embraced as a culture. Nowadays these men are being marketed rather than relaying a message to the masses about the dangers of drugs, sex, and violence in the inner city. The days of Public Enemy are far gone...that is apparent whenever you see Flavor Flav on TV. This new era of hip hop isnt a terrible sound, however it is the furthest thing from what hip hop was created to be. We do still have some MC's out there who are relevant who seem to keep the old school roots of hip hop still alive, but the new blood have no idea what this culture is about.
